Geoff Bacino

Geoff Bacino is a two-time presidential appointee. Named by President Clinton to the Board of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) in 2000, Mr. Bacino regulated the nation's 9,800 credit unions and oversaw the federal credit union deposit insurance fund. In 2006, he was appointed by President Bush, with the recommendation of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, to the Federal Housing Finance Board. At the Finance Board, he regulated the 12 Federal Home Loan Banks and the $1 trillion in mortgage assets under their control. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President for Legislative/Regulatory Affairs for Centrix Financial, an auto finance firm with over $3 billion under management. He was also the co-founder of the National Association of State Chartered Credit Unions. Mr. Bacino has also served as the Executive Director of Callahan & Associates, a national consulting/ data firm and on the staff of the Credit Union National Association.
